If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.” when a person acquires education they gain both intrinsic and extrinsic benefits: it grooms a person’s ingenuity and sharpens their way of thinking as knowledge develops you cognitive and the assessments comes with problem solving skills and high order thinking. education is a platform of independence and it gives you the edge to compete against the world. furthermore, it allows you to improve your standard of life and enhance your profile allowing a good foundation for the future generation. it is with it (education) that boundaries are broken and identities redefine as one can come from humble beginnings to a good life through education so education takes you places you never thought you will reach, it is the power to empower the powerless aswell as the powerful. it brings joy inside and visible benefits outside. most importantly education is change, positive change that shifts the globe

“Discipline is cornerstone of education”, this is one of my favourite quotes of all time. Discipline has ensured that I graduate from my high school with marks good enough to get into UCT and graduate with a degree in economics. Last year I moved to Johannesburg (Kempton Park) to ensure that I fulfill the potential of my education. Education opens doors, gives people opportunities they otherwise would not have had and ultimately leads to better lives for themselves, their families and their societies.

I, in fact, have been wanting to study marketing since last year hence I applied at UNISA however I could not pay the registration fee in time. Therefore, I would really appreciate an opportunity to further my education.

    Yours in education,

I grew up with a single parent who is my mother she is a widow, growing up I had people look down on me thinking that I wouldn’t make it in life, in primary school there was a teacher who told me I’m a failure I carried that thought with me through to high school then in high school my grade 10 teacher told me I would never reach matric. I told myself I was gonna proof her wrong and I did pass matric with a diploma. When I finished matric I had an uncle of mine discourage me in the career path I want to take and there is no one to help me out in reaching my dream. I believe in life the only thing a person cannot take away from you is education they may break your spirit , look down on you and make you feel like you are a loser and with my mom being unemployed they think I will never reach anything but with education I will prove them wrong and they cannot take it away from me. Everyone person whether a child or adult deserves a right to education it gives a person hope and a sense of worthiness. I know I can be living proof that you can be the best person you are meant to be in life when you have an education. And when you believe that u will go further than the stars.
