My problem was finding 30 minutes, 5-6 days a week, at a fixed time, to exercise outdoors, while keeping Kairo entertained. I was faced with a challenge and this is how I became creative to find a solution for my problem.
Remember that you have a voice and that you are free to make your own decisions. Let the world hear your truth, there is someone waiting to hear you speak.
Last week, during Kairo’s nap times, I pushed to see what I could get done in 30 minutes. I have to admit that I was surprised at how much I actually did. This is also a good way to get into new habits.
I found a definition which best describes willpower as I see it: “A conscious, effortful regulation of the self by the self.” Someone else can’t do it for you … willpower comes from within.
It became a constant companion until one day I realized that I didn’t have children in order to spend my life feeling forever inadequate. I wanted children to enrich my life, not enslave my conscience.
Having the correct equipment and planning ahead has made traveling a pleasant experience for us. Most important for us is using a good car seat, a lightweight travel stoller, baby carrier and well prepared travel bag.
That instance where all you can think about is hurting or harming them … when you are begging “Karma” to deal with them.
What does Women’s Day, Women’s Month and being a woman in South Africa, mean to me? Why do I celebrate being a woman?
The answer is quite simple … dreams don’t come true by themselves. You need to set goals in order to turn your dreams into reality. I have always had the dream but I have never set a real goal to make my dream come true. Dreams are imaginary and can go on forever … and that’s ok if dreaming is all you want to do.
I know they will watch me like a couple of hawks the first few times I do anything with their new baby … just to make sure my baby skills are up to scratch … (I’ll just pretend that I don’t see them … LOL)
